Professional Dental Care for All Ages

General Dentistry Atlanta

We offer all forms of general dentistry to families in and around Atlanta, and can help develop a comprehensive dental hygiene plan to help your family experience all the benefits of a healthy smile.

TMJ Therapy

Jaw function is governed by two joints, called TMJs, and the muscles that surround them. An imbalanced bite can place excessive strain on the TMJs, resulting in headaches, facial pain, and other symptoms. TMJ treatment may require a full mouth reconstruction to address numerous issues. Dr. Ross or Dr. Shah may also suggest a full plane occlusal (FPO) appliance to support your jaw and relieve strain on the TMJs.

Sedation Dentistry

It is not uncommon for patients of any age to experience some anxiety when undergoing dental treatment. Other patients are especially sensitive to dental treatment, or require a treatment that takes considerable time to complete. We care about your comfort, and we offer sedation dentistry treatments such as nitrous oxide and oral medication to help you achieve maximum relaxation during treatment.

Emergency Care

If you have a dental emergency, we can help. If your tooth is knocked out, collect it immediately (if possible) by grabbing only the tooth’s crown. Take care not to touch the roots. Gently rinse the tooth and your mouth with warm water and try to place the tooth back in its socket. If it doesn't fit, don't force it; place the tooth in a small container of milk and call our office immediately. With prompt action, Dr. Ross or Dr. Shah may be able to save the tooth. If not, we will help you decide on the right option to replace it.

Sleep Apnea

Are you or your partner losing precious sleep to snoring? Did you know that snoring may be an indication of a more serious problem? The team at Feather Touch Dental Care has helped many patients find the rest they need through effective sleep apnea treatment. Sleep apnea describes a condition in which oral tissues completely block the airway, causing the patient to stop breathing for moments at a time. The lack of oxygen eventually causes the brain to panic, and the body is forced awake to restart the breathing process. Snoring associated with sleep apnea can become extremely loud, and occurs in patterns marked by brief silence as breathing stops. Most cases of sleep apnea can be treated with an oral appliance designed to hold your jaw forward while you sleep, preventing the collapse of oral tissues and subsequent airway blockage. We can provide customized appliances to restore your sleep.

Preventive Dentistry and Oral Care

The most effective way to protect your smile from cavities and other issues is to prevent them from developing. Aside from brushing and flossing your teeth every day, be sure to visit our office at least once every six months for a comprehensive dental checkup and cleaning. During your regular visits, one of our talented hygienists will thoroughly clean the surfaces of your teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Our dentists will also perform an examination to check for early signs of trouble and initiate treatment, such as a dental filling, to prevent extensive damage to your oral tissues.
